Konoba Didov San - Kajzerica

ABOUT New is born out of the old, out of what used to be and used to live. Tradition is that which creates quality, while consistency maintains it through time and creates new values. Just as wine is born from grapes and vine springs from the soil that is not the same everywhere you go, a mouthful is not just a moment in which it disappears, but a fruit – bred and cherished, specially selected and prepared. The richness of Dalmatian Zagora cuisine stems from its geographical, national and cultural diversity. This cuisine has been influenced in rich and different ways – it appeared as a characteristic mixture of Bosnian-Herzegovinian and Mediterranean cuisine. Among the authentic dishes of Dalmatian Zagora we include uštipak (a type of fried dough) served with kajmak (a type of soft cheese), cheese from tub and goatskin, home-made prosciutto, koštradina and raštika (a type of kale), frogs with prosciutto, snails, eel and frog brudet (similar to a stew), veal and lamb under sač
