Museum of goryun culture
A unique ethnographic museum for Eastern Ukraine, in which you can learn everything about the life of miners - a small ethnos, which, according to historians, settled in Putyvl region in the 16th century. Thanks to their compact living, they managed to preserve their language, culture and way of life.
The museum is a homestead of the natives of the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. In addition to the house itself, you can see the traditional farm buildings: a barn, a rig, a mill, and an unusual well-crane.The atmosphere of the last century is transmitted with the help of old objects of everyday life, furniture, clothes , dishes, handicraft tools. It seems that you came to visit a regular Ukrainian family, only a hundred years ago. There are old icons, embroidered towels, a cradle, and a loom.
For the guest of the museum to feel all the identity of the thieves, excursions are conducted here and songs are played in the Goryun language. This special dialect combines Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian languages, so that it is not difficult to understand it. Also, the museum's employees are planning an opportunity for gastronomic acquaintance with the thieves through their national cuisine
